Acne plagues many individuals, lowering their self-image and even causing depression. Yet, many individuals are unable to find an effective over the counter acne treatment. Consequently, adults and adolescents with acne eruptions resort to paying for high-priced, prescription medications and invasive cosmetic procedures. However, this does not have to be the case. While completely eliminating acne breakouts is nearly impossible, many treatments are available that effectively manage acne breakouts. Once one understands what triggers their acne, and skin inflammations, one can reduce their acne breakouts and manage their skin’s redness and oiliness.

What Causes Acne? Acne is triggered by the actions of specific hormones. These actions are facilitated when certain particles and bacteria clog the skin’s oil glands or sebaceous glands. Once clogged, pimples, whiteheads, acne, blackheads, and even cysts or papules can develop. Acne can develop anywhere; many individuals have acne on their face, back, chest, buttocks, shoulders, or even neck. Some individuals also develop acne scars, they can appear as spots or deep pitted indentions.

Ways to Help Acne At Home There are many things that one can do from home to manage their acne breakouts. For most individuals not suffering from cystic or severe acne, the key to eliminating their acne is regulating their hormone functioning, exfoliating their skin, and balancing their skin’s oil production so the sebaceous glands are not clogged, creating pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, or any other form of acne.

Here are a few things that can help reduce acne.

Eliminating Your Acne for Home Step #1: To manage your hormone levels, make sure your body is getting all the vitamins and minerals it needs to remove toxins from your system and function properly. Take a multivitamin. Also, consider taking Vitamin C and Fish Oil. Vitamin C fights bacteria growth and helps your immune system and acne. Fish Oils give your skin vitamins it needs to regenerate healthy tissue and scar less, as well as flush impurities. They contain Vitamin A, K, D, and E. These nutrients will reduce your acne breakouts.

Eliminating Your Acne for Home Step #2: Wash your face daily with Baking Soda, Lemon Juice, and Honey. Just a dab of honey will do. Honey, although sticky, it is natural fighter of bacteria. Baking Soda and lemon juice are as well. Plus, lemon juice will balance the oil and acne on your skin because it is a natural astringent.

Eliminating Your Acne for Home Step #3: Use natural skin care product. Make sure your products are 100% all natural. Although 97% try Burt Bees to moisturize your skin (wwwdrugstorecom) and Beauty 4 Ashes Naturally Clear System Acne Eliminating System (wwwdiscoverb4acom) to fight your acne fast. Many individuals have skin irritation and acne because they are allergic to the preservatives and cleanser bases in their favorite face wash or hair care product. Products with parabens, glycols, and sulfates have been proven to cause skin irritation and have harmful health effects in many individuals. I have discovered that Beauty 4 Ashes Naturally Clear System works very well because it uses over 15 natural acne eliminating ingredients such as; essential oils, chamomile, tea tree, and lemon as its active ingredient rather than plant extracts. Extracts, in general, have less potency. Beauty 4 Ashes acne eliminating products also contain white willow bark, which is a natural form of salicylic acid.

Eliminating Your Acne for Home Step #4: Be consistent. Acne does not disappear overnight. Have patience. Wash your face twice a day. Stay away from chemical that dry your face like benzoyl peroxide and alcohol. Acne can be effectively controlled.

It took me around 3 months to get the desired response. I would suggest you wait for that much time atleast. After all homeopathy is slow but it cures from the root. Even the earlier person above has said that it took her one year to cure from the roots.

Great article.  Yes, anything homeopathic is going to take an extended period.  Just when you're ready to give up is when you start noticing little changes.

Just like EVERYTHING else - just because it works for one - doesn't guarantee it will work for you (as in the 1st comment made regarding ProActive).

You also have to look at your diet.  If you're eating a diet that includes alot of processed foods, fried foods, sugars, your body isn't going to like that - and is going to retaliate - and acne is one of those retaliations.

My problem area, when I was a teen/young adult, was my temple (because I'd always rest my temple on my palm while listening to the teachers) which ground dirt into my skin from my palm.  That and my hairline on my forehead.  My daughter now faces the same issue (with the hairline) and I know that's from oils from her hair.  So, we are now starting the battle of acne with her.  I know how debilitating it can be for self confidence - so we're trying everything we can.  Now that I've seen you post on some more home remedies (lemon juice, baking soda, et al) - we're going to try those.

Thanks for your article.
